Tiny house and studio: private retreats in the Wiener Alpen
At 800 metres above sea level, between Semmering and the Bucklige Welt, lies the Feigenterrasse beim Semmering – above Gloggnitz, accessible via a winding road with magnificent views. The Feigenterrasse beim Semmering is an hour’s drive from Vienna and Graz, and around an hour and a half from St. Pölten, Bratislava, Györ and Maribor. And no matter where you come from, here you are far away from everyday life.
Accommodation with its own character
The Feigenterrasse comprises two separate accommodations in their own buildings: a two-storey tiny house (80 m²) and an open, loft-style studio (60 m²). Both offer plenty of privacy, a fully equipped kitchen, a large terrace and private access to the terraced garden. Generous windows offer unobstructed views of the forest, meadows and mountains. Both accommodations are integrated into nature: open the door and you are outside, on the terrace, surrounded by greenery. And both accommodations are habitable all year round, with their own charm and character in every season.
Our Tiny House
Our Tiny House: two floors, 80 m². A wooden staircase connects the upper and lower floors. Warm wooden floors, high-quality furnishings, retreats on both levels – space, openness and cosiness for relaxation.
The Studio
Our studio is a light-flooded, open retreat covering 60 m². A visually separate sleeping area, warm materials, underfloor heating and direct access to the terrace and garden – it’s easy to feel at home here.
Activities
In the surrounding area, cosy inns serving regional specialities and cultural attractions such as the historic Semmering Railway invite you to explore. In winter, the nearby ski resorts, cross-country ski trails and winter hiking trails offer a wide range of opportunities to actively experience the snow-covered landscape.

Good to know
Is there parking available at the Feigenterrasse beim Semmering?
Yes. There are two parking spaces available directly in front of the house. The parking spaces are reserved for guests of the Feigenterrasse.
Can I charge my electric car at the Feigenterrasse?
Yes. There is an electric charging station for electric cars at the Feigenterrasse. Billing is based on actual consumption at EUR 0.25 per kWh.
Can I bring children with me?
Yes. Children are very welcome in the Tiny House. On request, we can secure the stairs with a safety gate and are happy to provide a high chair and a cot. Please let us know when you make your booking. In the studio, children are very welcome to sleep with you in the existing bed, or we can provide a cot on request. Unfortunately, there is no space for a larger additional bed in the studio.
Are pets allowed at Feigenterrasse?
Pets are welcome upon prior request. We charge EUR 15 per day for dogs and other pets.
Is the garden fenced in – can my dog run free?
The Feigenterrasse property is not completely fenced in. Dogs should therefore be supervised when outside.
Where can I buy groceries nearby?
The nearest place to shop is Gloggnitz, about a 10-minute drive from the Feigenterrasse. There you will find several supermarkets, drugstores, sports and clothing shops, as well as banks and doctors.
Where is the nearest hospital?
The nearest hospital is in Neunkirchen, about a 20-minute drive from Feigenterrasse beim Semmering.
